Inside Kalam Spoorthi Yatra: India’s First Mobile futuristic Lab

In many parts of India, particularly in rural and tribal regions, students grow up with limited exposure to modern technology. Science labs, robotics kits, and advanced learning tools remain out of reach for children in government schools and remote areas. To bridge this gap, Edodwaja launched a groundbreaking initiative called Kalam Spoorthi Yatra.

This is the first education movement in India that delivered a fully equipped mobile STEM lab directly to students in all 33 districts of Telangana, brought technology and inspiration to their doorsteps of over 17,000 children.

Kalam Spoorthi Yatra: A National First in STEM Education

As a team, we are proud to share that no one in the country has done this before . not any government, private organization, or NGO.

Kalam Spoorthi Yatra is India’s first initiative to operate a mobile innovation lab across every district in a single state. The project was conceptualized and executed by Edodwaja and Salesforce , a youth-led organization that believes access to quality STEM education should be universal.

Rather than expecting children to visit technology hubs or learning centers, the team brought a state-of-the-art classroom to them through the FLOW Bus, which stands for Futuristic Lab on Wheels. This mobile lab delivered hands-on learning to thousands of students, many of whom had never interacted with tools like 3D printers, robotics kits, or virtual reality devices before.

This pioneering effort was made possible by the vision of our founder Madhulash Babu, and the dedication of the entire Edodwaja team. Despite countless challenges and limited resources, our belief in the mission and our students never wavered.

FLOW Bus: A Classroom Designed for the Future

The FLOW Bus is a fully operational innovation lab built to create real-time, experiential learning environments. It is equipped with:

  • Virtual and augmented reality learning kits

  • 3D printing technology for prototyping

  • IoT and robotics modules for hands-on exploration

  • Artificial intelligence and machine learning demonstrations

  • Interactive do-it-yourself STEM experiments

This mobile unit transformed into a platform where students could experience future technologies first-hand, often for the very first time.

What is Kalam Spoorthi Yatra?

The impact of this mission is visible not only in the enthusiasm of the students but also in the scale of its execution:

Key Achievements of Kalam Spoorthi Yatra

  • Covering 33 districts across Telangana

  • Reached more than 17,151 students

  • Conducted hundreds of STEM workshops in schools and communities

  • Inspired countless teachers, parents, and education leaders

This effort brought advanced learning tools directly to classrooms that previously had little to no exposure to digital resources or experiential education.

Instead of asking children to visit labs, we decided to take the labs to them through India’s first Futuristic Lab on Wheels, also known as the FLOW Bus.

Beyond Numbers: Changing How Students Think

The most important transformation was not just technical. It was deeply personal.

Students began asking questions, engaging in experiments, and envisioning careers in technology. A child requested a second chance to complete a robotics challenge. Another began dreaming of becoming an engineer. A teacher expressed hope for creating a local innovation hub within their school.

These shifts in thinking show the real success of Kalam Spoorthi Yatra. It created not just awareness, but belief.

Driven by Passion, Not Profit

This initiative was not backed by large budgets or institutional support. It was created by Madhulash Babu, a 26-year-old founder with a vision to make technology education accessible to all. With a rented bus, a limited team, and strong determination, the Edodwaja team created a movement that is now being recognized across India.

The mission was built on the core belief that quality education should not be a privilege for a few, but a right for every child.

At Edodwaja, we believe that technology education is not a privilege , it’s a right.
And through this initiative, we’ve shown that where there is purpose, possibilities are endless.

A Scalable Model for India’s Educational Future

Kalam Spoorthi Yatra is not just a one-time project. It is a scalable and replicable model that can be implemented across other states in India.

This mission proves that it is possible to deliver meaningful education to the last mile. With the right partnerships and community support, this model can help transform rural and tribal education across the country.

Get Involved

If you believe in creating equal opportunities for all children through technology and innovation, there are many ways to get involved:

  • Collaborate with Edodwaja to extend the program to new regions

  • Sponsor mobile labs or learning kits for under-resourced schools

  • Volunteer, mentor, or help build a stronger educational ecosystem for rural India

Your involvement can help thousands of students gain the skills and confidence they need to thrive in the modern world.

Conclusion

Kalam Spoorthi Yatra represents a turning point in Indian education. It shows that real change begins with purpose, action, and belief. By bringing technology and creativity to children who need it the most, this initiative is laying the foundation for a more equitable, innovative, and empowered India.

This is not just a project. It is a movement. And it is only getting started!

Together, let’s bring technology, opportunity, and hope to every corner of India.

Kalam Spoorthi Yatra
A national first. A future-forward movement.
Brought to life by Madhulash Babu and the Edodwaja Team.
