On September 1st, 2024, we had the special opportunity to showcase our FLOW Bus at ISB during the Spark Startup Summit 2024, an event known for bringing together entrepreneurs and innovators from across the country
Getting to ISB:
Despite heavy rain on the day of the event, we remained determined to make the most of this crucial opportunity. Our team set off for ISB with a sense of excitement, knowing the significance of this showcase. Upon arrival, we quickly set up our stall in a designated area and strategically parked the Flow bus near the RE Block, a central and visible location on the ISB campus.
Connecting with Visitors:
The event attracted a wide range of visitors, including students from the PGDM 2024-25 batch. Our stall and the Flow bus quickly became popular attractions, drawing in curious attendees eager to learn more about our initiatives. The enthusiasm and genuine interest of the visitors led to dynamic and insightful conversations.
Our team members—Chaithra, Shreyash, Jay Krishna, Vamsi, and Madhulash Babu—played a pivotal role in communicating the essence of our Flow programs. Their ability to articulate how we are fostering creative thinking and innovative problem-solving resonated deeply with the audience, creating a lasting impact.
Inside the Flow Bus:
Inside the Flow bus, our CTO, Pavan Kumar, along with our founder, Madhulash Babu, led an immersive experience for the visitors. The bus became a hub of excitement and curiosity, with several ISB faculty members also taking the time to explore. The faculty provided valuable feedback and suggestions, particularly on how we could refine our business models to maximize impact.
A Memorable Experience:
A highlight of the day was witnessing ISB alumni, some accompanied by their children, explore the Flow bus. It was heartwarming to see that regardless of age, everyone who stepped onto the bus was eager to learn and engage. Many shared their own experiences with technology, expressing sentiments like, “If I had a lab like this when I was in school, I could have achieved so much more.”
The event also featured a celebrity investor fireside chat with Professor Bhagwan Choudhry and Upasana Kamineni, the CSR – Vice Chair of Apollo and founder of URLife. After the chat, our founder, Madhulash, had the opportunity to discuss the Flow initiative with Upasana and reconnect with Professor Bhagwan Choudhry. They reminisce about their first meeting at ISB two years ago when Madhulash had shared the concept of Edodwaja’s Lab on Wheels. Professor Choudhry congratulated Madhulash on the success and growth of Flow, expressing admiration for the impact it has achieved.
Final Thoughts:
This visit to ISB was not just a platform to showcase the Flow bus; it was a meaningful exchange of ideas and experiences. We left the event inspired by the interactions and feedback we received. The day at ISB reaffirmed our belief in the power of hands-on learning and the importance of nurturing an entrepreneurial spirit from a young age.
Overall, the Spark Startup Summit 2024 at ISB was a significant milestone for our team and the Flow bus. It provided us with the opportunity to connect with brilliant minds and gain insights that will guide the future development of our programs. We look forward to more opportunities like this, where we can continue to inspire and be inspired.
