Brainstorming means a sudden idea or plan. Brain storm is to think about a problem and try to get solutions to that problem within involvement of your own or a group of people. Brainstorming brings informational approach to problem solving with lateral thinking. It increases rational thinking of a person and encourages people to come up with ideas and thoughts that seem a bit crazy at first, but these ideas can bring a new creative solutions to the existing problem.

Brainstorming is usually used in the beginning stages of a project, where the possibilities for the project are not clearly understood or defined. It is a group activity where each participant should share their ideas as soon as they come into mind.

Brain storming techniques :

1.Brain writing:

It can be used to generate ideas, develop innovative solutions, but instead of expressing their ideas out loud, people write down the ideas and share them anonymously.

2.Rapid ideation:

 In this rapid ideation, everyone will set a time constraint, writes down as many ideas as possible in a set amount of time before the actual ideas are discussed.

3.Figure storming:

In this the group picks a well – known figure, it could be a boss or any other and discuss how that person would approach the problem or think about this idea.

4.Mind Mapping:

Every idea isn’t a right one. The first shared idea within the group isn’t right then mind mapping comes in .

Mind Mapping is a way to approach brainstorms and can be helpful for those who think rationally.

1. It encourages participation by all parties.

2.Many ideas with different concepts can be generated in a short period of time .

3.It encourages people to think out of box, thinking is not limited to any constrains.

4.It brings the awareness of the individuals to the group of people and its participants.
